ALVA

The Lund Observatory astronomy student club was formed in 2006 and named ALVA.

ALVA loves dark nights and clear skies, telescopes and instruments, stars and planets, asteroids and comets, galaxies and cosmology, dark matter and dark energy, astronomical observations and theory and many other things related to space research or exploration.

ALVA's purpose is to promote science and scientific thinking, especially within astronomy and astrophysics. ALVA celebrates its love of astronomy by organizing astronomically interesting events for its members.

ALVA membership is free, but ALVA members should also be members of the Lund University Academic Society and have paid their membership fee to the Academic Society.
